Product Information

Overview

The Cee® Waste Diverter routes process waste from Apogee® Spin Coaters and Spin Developers to one of two separate discharge paths. This enables segregation of incompatible chemistries, such as aqueous and solvent-based waste, at the equipment drain.

Key Capabilities

  • directs waste between primary and secondary drain outlets
  • recipe-controlled through DataStream™ dispense commands
  • pneumatic spring-return actuation
  • normally open primary outlet when the diverter is not commanded
  • polypropylene wetted body with ¾ in drain hose-barb connections

When the assigned dispense command is enabled in a recipe, the diverter switches waste to its secondary outlet. When that command is disabled, it returns to the primary outlet. Recipes without a diverter command route waste to the primary output by default.

Safety & Facilities

Separate collection paths help facilities manage incompatible or differently regulated waste streams. Verify compatibility of chemicals with the polypropylene wetted body and downstream hoses and containers. The diverter uses a pneumatic actuator supplied through the four-position dispense control box. Nitrogen or clean dry air (CDA) must meet the control system requirements, including a minimum 70 psi actuation pressure. Verify both waste paths remain unobstructed and connect to appropriate collection systems.

Compatibility

Compatible with Apogee® 200 and 450 Spin Coaters and Spin Developers. Both series use the same drain interfaces. The assembly connects to the equipment’s rear drain connection; allow approximately 8.5 inches of additional rear depth for installation.

  • waste diverter with pneumatic spring-return actuator
  • integrated ¾ in drain hose-barb connections
  • quick-connect coupling for the equipment drain interface
  • 1/8 in pneumatic control tubing for installation
  • installation/operations instructions
