Overview

The Cee® Waste Carboy provides a dedicated collection system for liquid waste generated during spin coating and spin developing processes. During coating operations, excess material is directed through the equipment drain. Waste containment is critical for maintaining a clean processing environment and supporting safe chemical handling practices.

The waste carboy connects directly to the equipment drain port and provides secure collection of excess materials.

• Integrated capacitive level sensor monitors container fill status and communicates with the DataStream™ OS

• Process protection allows the current recipe to finish while preventing additional recipes from starting once the container reaches capacity

• Sealed collection design helps minimize exposure to chemical vapors and liquid waste

• Flexible PTFE drain tubing supports chemical compatibility with common solvents and aqueous process fluids

• Simple quick-connect coupler allows operators to easily remove the container, cap, and transport to empty 

By maintaining controlled waste collection directly at the equipment drain outlet, the waste carboy assembly supports cleaner operation and simplifies routine maintenance procedures.

Safety & Facilities

The waste carboy assembly supports safe waste management by containing process liquids in a dedicated collection vessel located below the equipment drain. The sealed coupler and hose connections help prevent leaks and reduce the potential for operator exposure during normal operation.

The level sensor system helps protect both operators and equipment by preventing overflow conditions. When the container reaches capacity, the system completes the active recipe and restricts additional processing until the waste container is emptied and reinstalled.

Position the carboy below the equipment drain and maintain a continuous downward slope in the drain hose, avoiding kinks and low points. Secondary containment is recommended. Verify compatibility of process chemistries with the HDPE carboy, PTFE tubing, and other wetted components. Follow facility chemical handling and waste disposal protocols when transporting and emptying the container.
